Synopsis: In the wake of the end of the world, a family of four desperately tries to survive. Taking to the forest, they soon discover the other survivors may be the least of their worries.

Thoughts: Ah yes, another “post” end of the world movie. The Collapsed looks very typical. I see nothing new here. Lots of worried people who appear to be in a desperate situation. Except, it is only the people themselves who seem to see something to worry about. As the viewer, everything looks fine. Oh wait, the music. Maybe it’s those dramatic piano keys smashing down. Maybe that is REALLY in the movie. That is what they are running from. Wouldn’t you? That would get annoying…

Sarcasm aside, I am semi interested in seeing this flick. Not because of the plot or acting. What interest me is that The Collapsed was filmed on the RED 4K camera. Red Cameras are a somewhat revolutionary camera technology that have been letting indie and pro filmmakers capture stunning high definition video at a much lower cost than traditional big budget movie cameras. I want to see how polished a movie filmed on Red cameras will look. And as cliche as The Collapsed looks, it still think it will be entertaining.
