Synopsis: A modern-day take on the “Beauty and the Beast” tale where a New York teen is transformed into a hideous monster in order to find true love.

Thoughts: Beastly looks like what I would expect from a modern tween targeted re-telling of Beauty & The Beast. A movie that I will probably loathe watching, but I need to give credit to the makeup effects. I find them surprsingly fresh and creative. They could have just gone the Quasimodo route and make him look physically deformed, but instead they create this weird mix of horrific yet beautiful scarring.

On a side note, does anyone else think Mary-Kate Olsen has some absolutely terrible lines in this trailer? They are cringe worthy.
