Synopsis: Jack Sparrow and Barbossa embark on a quest to find the elusive fountain of youth, only to discover that Blackbeard and his daughter are after it too.

Thoughts: I feel disappointed folks. But to be honest, my feelings on this trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides were not entirely unexpected. Pirates 2 and 3 were so epic. How do you top a villain like Davey Jones? No offense to Ian McShane, but he is no Bill Nighy. Nor does his character, Blackbeard, have amazing CG lobster claws and octopus beard. No matter what people think about Pirates 2 & 3, Davey Jones was effin amazing. And now On Stranger Tides looks like it’s going backwards a bit. I am not trying to say I demand every movie trump the previous in CG awesomeness, but On Stranger Tides looks like Pirates 1. And I have already seen Pirates 1. I’ve seen the whole trilogy. So On Stranger Tides’ needs to step it’s game up. It has 3 older brothers to live up to. This trailer doesn’t give me the feeling I am seeing anything new. Just a lot of the same. JOHNNY DEPP IN DRUNKIN PIRATE MIS-ADVENTURES! ARG!
