X-Men: First Class Trailer Movie Stills

If you haven’t seen the trailer for X-Men: First Class, do so now by clicking here to jump over to the trailer page on Movie Trailer Hub. After watching, check out these movie stills I pulled from the trailer. It’s better than pausing :) .

Change In Editorial Format

Just wanted to give ya’ll an update on a bit of editorial change that I decided to implement. I will no longer be posting my comments on movie trailers inside the trailer post itself. Instead I will be putting my comments where they belong, in the comments section, where the rest of our guests can reply back to me directly, or write their own comments.

We have a great commenting system and I want to start utilizing it. Plus, I don’t consider myself a professional movie (trailer) critic so putting my thoughts on a movie trailer as if it is the official site review is kind of unnecessary and a bit pretentious. I have been thinking about doing this for a while, but I am finally going to start doing it now.

The second reason is I am doing this is because I want Movie Trailer Hub to be more of a resource for people, and adding my comments to each trailer in the post makes it look more like a blog. Not to say I don’t want people to hear my thoughts here, but I am all about design and adding my comments in the post section instead of the comments section is a distraction from the main content. So this transition should separate the content from the comments for the better.

I have already started leaving my comments in the comments section of new trailer post. So look for my thoughts there, if that is what you come to the site for. And don’t forget to leave your own. We like community feed back :) .

X-Men First Class Movie Poster And Movie Stills

A host of preview images from the upcoming Matthew Vaughn, X-Men: First Class movie have been popping up all over the web. I haven’t do a blog post in a while and I really wanted to share these, so I’m killing 2 birds with one stone here.

First up, the cast line up photo, which apparently wasn’t approved for public release, but someone leaked it. Whoopsies. I can see why it wasn’t approved. Looks like a rushed Photoshop job.
X-Men: First Class Movie Cast

Second, we have an amazing poster for the film. I absolutely love it. It’s smooth and gives a sense of the time period (60′s). It would make a worthy addition to my movie hall wall.

And finally some misc movie stills. We got January Jones (hottie in white) as Emma Frost, Kevin Bacon as Sebastian Shaw, Michael Fassbender as Erik Lehnsherr / Magneto, James McAvoy as Professor Charles Xavier, and a slew of other cast members.

Holiday Dry Spell

Holidays are always great, but unfortunately it makes for a rather dry period in which movie news comes to a standstill. Luckily for you guys, the Holidays are over and trailers are starting to pick up. I have a bunch of movie trailers ready to post tonight. So keep an eye out! Just wanted to clear my name here :) Didn’t want anyone to think we got lazy here at Movie Trailer Hub.

Hope everyone had a great Holiday season! I know I did. got myself a new camera and a bunch of other goodies.

Funny Thought: Jason X

As a young teen I was treated to this trailer for ‘Jason X’ in theaters before seeing Resident Evil. I remember as soon as the song “Bodies” by Drowning Pool started playing in the trailer, I started laughing so hard my gut and face were hurting. Tears running down my face. The trailer was so bad, it became amazing. I never actually got to see the movie, but I have seen some of the highlights of it on YouTube. Check out the “so bad it’s good” trailer for Jason X below.

Winners Announcement: $30 AMC Theaters Gift Card

Our first official giveaway is over! The $30 AMC theaters gift card contest is over. I have selected THREE WINNERS. Originally, I stated only one person would win, but that is because I under estimated how many people would participate, and out of all the people who participated, a good chunk of those tweeted almost three times a day! Wow. So I figured I might as well dig a little deeper into my pockets and give out two additional gift cards for this contest. Tis the season, right? So here are the winners. Selected by me. I observed these three tweeters posting their entries every day, for almost the past month. So I GOTTA give it to em. Thanks girls! You really helped Movie Trailer Hub get our name out there by posting your entries.

Special thanks to everyone else who tweeted entries for the contest. I am sorry I can’t giveaway more gift cards. If I could, I would. Trust me.

AND THE WINNERS ARE:

Real Life Tron Legacy Light Cycle Is Amazing

When I get rich I don’t plan on blowing my money on pointless luxuries, but acquiring a real life Tron light cycle might be the exception.

Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark Is Looking… Interesting

First off, thanks to Bad Ass Digest for posting this video

I have been wanting to see how this SNAFU of a broadway play looks since it was publicly announced. Promotional stills for the play have not been received well at all, at least not by true Spidey fans. Myself included. And a host of production issues have caused major set backs in getting the play ready, making Spidey fans even more weary.

I believe people in charge of putting this show together don’t have a damn clue what the hell they were doing in terms of doing Spidey justice. Nor do they have any concern about Spidey’s massive comic following. They should. We have access to the internet, unlimited amounts of unjustified rage, and a lot of free time.

I am guessing their math goes like this: Cirque du soleil + U2 + Popular comic book franchise = Yachts for everyone.

This footage is the first I have seen of the acrobatics that will be featured in Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark, and so far that aspect of the play is looking decent. I am eager to see more footage that focuses around the villains. That should be interesting…

Here is a promo photo of the villain ‘Swiss Miss’, whom was made up for the play. That’s right. His / her/ whatever is named SWISS MISS. It  has no comic book origin. The photo itself looks like some sort of weird perfume ad found inside a glamor magazine. MMM! Smells like hot chocolate! Wait… do I detect a hint of marsh mellows?! I do!

True Grit Movie Posters Are Bad Ass

These 4 character posters for True Grit are awesome. I don’t know why either. They are not complicated. But they capture the essence of the movie so well. Of course the Jeff Bridges poster is the best one. How can one character encompass so much bad ass-ness. *sigh* I can’t wait to see this movie.

First Movie Poster for Cowboys & Aliens

Check out this new semi-badass teaser poster for the upcoming movie, Cowboys & Aliens.

Cowboys & Aliens Movie Poster

Tron Legacy Poster Clu 2.0

I have been seeing a bunch of Tron Legacy movie posters hit the web lately. All of which are highlighted with the new Tron Legacy art style, and look generally cool. But this poster featuring Tron Legacy’s antagonist, Clu 2.0, is just bad ass. A poster worthy to be placed in the halls of my future man cave. Except I would install el wire behind the poster so the costume lights up.

Woah: Green Lantern’s Power Battery

How cool is this? Take a look at the Green Lantern’s power battery, you know, the thing that charges his ring and gives him all his power! This is a photo of what the battery looks like from the upcoming Green Lantern movie. I like it! The other photo is from the Spike Scream awards which shows a much larger power battery from the movie.
