Thoughts: Came across this cute little short clip today on Vimeo. The video description reads:

“a teaser for our latest project “I’m a monster”. This is a piece we developed to give an idea of the mood and look of the film and the characters.”

So in terms of scope or plot, I haven’t the faintest idea. But it looks visually superb, and the clip will make you smile.

Synopsis: Nina (Portman) is a ballerina in a New York City ballet company whose life, like all those in her profession, is completely consumed with dance. She lives with her obsessive former ballerina mother Erica (Hershey) who exerts a suffocating control over her. When artistic director Thomas Leroy (Cassel) decides to replace prima ballerina Beth MacIntyre (Ryder) for the opening production of their new season, Swan Lake, Nina is his first choice. But Nina has competition: a new dancer, Lily (Kunis), who impresses Leroy as well. Swan Lake requires a dancer who can play both the White Swan with innocence and grace, and the Black Swan, who represents guile and sensuality. Nina fits the White Swan role perfectly but Lily is the personification of the Black Swan. As the two young dancers expand their rivalry into a twisted friendship, Nina begins to get more in touch with her dark side – a recklessness that threatens to destroy her.

Thoughts: Tron Legacy is only a month away (as I post these clips)! My anticipation is growing and these videos are just making me more impatient. Arrgggg! December 17th couldn’t come any sooner.

Thoughts: Woah! Super looks like it doesn’t hold back any punches. It’s like Kick-Ass, but even more down to earth. Can’t say much else by watching one clip. I really want to see a trailer, like yesterday.

Super stars Rainn Wilson, Liv Tyler, Ellen Page, Kevin Bacon, and Nathan Fillion. No public release date has been set.

Thoughts: An excellent teaser to an already awesome looking movie. Everyone I know is looking forward to this movie, so this clip just serves as a buffer to the excitment. I know I am excited to see Megamind. Dreamworks has been on a roll lately. Good for them. About time someone gave Pixar a little competition.
